La passione per la fotografia nasce con lui durante i primi anni di scuola, guardando ogni giorno la vetrina di un fotografo che incontrava lungo il percorso, affascinato dalle foto esposte che a lui si mostravano molto piu attraenti dei quadri…. Da quel momento ha comiciato a catturare paesaggi e persone con la fotocamera con la ferma intenzione che con le immagini si raccontano storie.
Dopo il liceo ha studiato televisione ma passa in seguito alla fotografia suo primo amore.
Dal 1986 ha lavorato per diversi editori della sua regione, pubblicando su libri e riviste della Sardegna. La quantità di scenari e di bellezze della Sardegna captano continuamente la sua attenzione e influenzano la sua fotografia che predilige toni caldi e ricchi di colore.
Dopo tanto lavoro sulla Sardegna si sviluppano anche lavori fotografici sempre nel reportage per clienti e agenzie nazionali e internazionali e per documentazioni fieristiche in oriente.
Nei suoi viaggi in tutta l’isola e in tutto il mondo ha sviluppato storie fotografiche dedicate al paesaggio e alla gente che lo abita sia negli ambienti urbani che fuori porta. Per il suo lavoro ha ricevuto numerosi premi, tra gli altri, il Premio Nuraghe d’Oro.
Con curiosità ed entusiasmo continua a fotografare, ricercando una vitalità nelle piccole cose della vita quotidiana e continuando a scoprire nuovi racconti fotografici.

The passion for photography was born with him during the first years of school, watching every day the window of a photographer, fascinated by the photos shown convinced him they were much more attractive then paintings…. From that moment he started to capture landscapes and people with the camera with the clear intention that pictures tell us stories.
After high school he studied television but goes further to photograph his first love. From 1986 he worked for several publishers of his region, publishing for books and magazines of Sardinia. The amount of scenarios and beauties of Sardinia capture his attention and constantly affect his photography that prefers warm, rich color tones.
After much work on Sardinia will also develop more and photographic works in reportage for customers and national and international agencies and fairstrade documentation in the east.
In his travels around the island and throughout the world she has developed photographic stories dedicated to the landscape and the people who live in urban places and countryside. For his work he has received numerous awards, among others, the Prize Nuraghe d’Oro.
With curiosity and enthusiasm continues to photograph, looking for a vitality in the little things of everyday life and continuing to discover new photographic stories.
Paolo Succu arbeitet als freiberuflicher Fotograf auf Sardinien. Schon während der Schulzeit entwickelte sich seine Leidenschaft Landschaften und Personen mit der Kamera einzufangen. Nach dem Abitur lernte er Film und Regie, später wechselte er zur Fotografie. 1986 arbeitet er zum ersten Mal für den Verleger EdiSar. Zur gleichen Zeit beginnt er auch für nationale und internationale Kunden zu fotografieren. Auf seinen Reisen über die Insel und quer über den Globus entstehen Reportagen, die sich Land, Menschen und Bräuchen widmen. Für seine Arbeiten ist er mehrmals ausgezeichnet worden, u.a. mit dem Premio Nuraghe d‘Oro
